About Us

Bury FC Community Trust is the charity arm of the football club. We aim to improve the health, social esteem, and skills of Children and Adults across the borough of Bury through the power of sport.

We work in four different themes -


  Health   Inclusion  Sports Participation  Education.


 We have 7 fulltime members of Staff who we would like to introduce you to.

Paul Weller - Strategic Community Manager. Paul is in charge of the community trust and leads all strategic elements of the organisation.

Mike Morris - Assistant Strategic Community Manager & Education Development Officer. Mike's roles is to further educational opportunities for the community of Bury and football clubs in raising standards through Coach Education. For more information please see the education page.

Joanne Shepherd - Health Development Officer. Jo's role is to address health issues and inequalities across the borough of Bury. For more information please see the health page.

TBC - Sports Development Officer. This role is to increase the level of Sports Participation throughout the Bury region. For more information please see the sports participation page.

Rob Carlisle - Inclusion Development Officer. Rob's role is to create and further opportunities for all members of the community, irrelevant of age, race, gender or disability. For more information please see the inclusion page.

Linda Dawson - SEN Teaching Assistant. Linda works closely with Millwood SEN Primary School in assisting the teaching staff to provide quality care and education to children with disabilities. Linda's role comes under the Inclusion theme managed by Rob Carlisle, and any further information can be sought through Rob.

Jess Brindle - Administrative Assistant. Jess is incharge of all administration within the community trust. She is also one of our coaches and organises player visits.
