Circus Days

Our circus days are tailored to meet your requirements, we adapt our session according to age, ability & size of classes. Rangeing from nursery age to Key stage 2 children. Max per class 40.

The day will start ideally with a demonstration assembly where we will show all the skills that the children will be learning throughout the day in order to get the fun started!

Depending on the number of pupils in the school, we will take each class one at a time for between 45 mins to 1 1/2 hours.

Usually starting with the a short warm up, then straight into it with either feather balancing, plate spinning or scarf & Ball juggling all together as a class running through basics.

Then depending on the duration of the session we will set out a Circus Circuit, where the class will be put into small groups, and around the room will be various circus equipment. All will be demonstrated by our teacher before allowing children to start the actitvities. The groups will try out the equipment in their group for a few minutes and then moved around to the next station so that they get to have a go at everything.

Usually 6 stations set out consisting of the following: Diablos, Flower sticks, Poi, Chinese ribbons, Fun Wheels, Stilts, Walking globes, Rings, Plates, Peacock Feathers, Clubs, Pogo Sticks & lots more

Some schools have requested a circus performance and have therefore booked 1-3 days and on the final afternoon we have chosen pupils from all classes to perform in our Circus Extravaganza, complete with circus music and ring master.

All pupils will receive a circus skills certificate stating that they have mastered a Bury FC Circus Day!
