Football And Schools Together (F.A.S.T.)High Schools

F.A.S.T. is a project that rewards those students who take the time to attend extra study sessions after school, with a football activity and accreditation delivered by their local proffessional football club. This project is managed nationally by Catherine Campbell at Manchester Metropolitan University and funded by the Football Foundation.

Schools taking part deliver a study session after school once a week for 30 weeks of the academic term targeting one of the 3 key curriculum subject; English, Maths or Science. Students who attend the study session can also attend a fun and free after school football coaching session with one of our coaches, also for 30 weeks of the year.

In addition these students are put through the Junior Football Organisers (JFO; see drop down page for information) accreditation which boosts their self confidence and adds to their CV, as it will be viewed as a leadership qualification and extra curricular involvment by potential employers.

High Schools currently engaging in the FAST programme are;

Broadoak Sports College

Derby High School

Prestwich Arts College
