Bury FC Community Trust has just completed its phase 1 intake for the Future Jobs Fund Programme. This unique government initiative under Labour allowed individuals on Job Seekers Allowance access a 6 months work experience programme in order to up skill themselves and improve their self confidence and job skills.
The Trust have been successful in putting 9 individuals through the programme and helping them achieve all their goals. In addition all 9 have achieved many different qualifications including an NVQ Level 2 in Activity Leadership or Operational Services.
As a result of Phase 1 we have even identified 2 individuals for further employment within the Club. Mathew Kirk has now signed a 2 year apprenticeship to train as a Community Sports Coach, and Emma Kay has just signed a contract to work as an administator for the Football Club.
