Sports Participation

Each season Bury FC take part in the Football League's Community Cups. The competitions are for junior footballers from schools across the country, with the finals being played at Wemberley. The Community Cup is a six a-side competition for Under 11 boys and girls and Under 13s girls. Each year more than 2,500 schools take part representing professional clubs all over the country.

This season Ribble Drive Primary School have beaten all other competitors within our local tournement and went on to play in a local final held at Playfootball.net against St Paul's C of E Primary, after a tense match Ribble Drive came out on top and they now will go on to represent Bury FC at the next stage on 20th April in Bradford.

All the team at Bury FC community trust would like to say congratulations to Phillips high school on winning the girls u13s tournament. The day was a great success with all schools in the Bury area taking part at Broadoak Specialist Sports College, with a special thank you to the school for holding the event. The girls also did fantastically well at Oldham Athletic in the Regional Finals they got through to the Semi Finals but unfortunatley lost 1 - 0 against Morecambe.
