Bury FC Community Trust offer week long placements to schools for their students who have an interest in the sports industry. These placements involve students being exposed to all the elements which make up the role of a coach and a development officer within this industry, as well as undergoing the JFO qualification whilst on placement (see JFO page drop down for information).
The accreditation is built into the process in order to give weight to the knowledge which they gain whilst on placement and allows them to understand the basics in terms of responsibilities and needs for planning which come with working with children.
By structuring our work experience placements in this format we feel we are better placed to assist students in making what should be viewed as an important decision for the next stage of their development.
Schools wishing to take part in this experience must provide 12 students for placement, and a cost is involved for the JFO accreditation. If you wish to discuss this please contact Mike Morris; mike.morris@buryfc-community.co.uk
